My name is Randy M Olson, I now live in Scottsville Virginia but was born and raised in Port Arthur Texas. Growing up in the home town to Janis Joplin, The Winter Brothers, the ZZ Top Boyz and so so many more, the Blues runs in my blood. Started playing music in my 3rd grade year and started playing at Church in High school and have just never really stopped. I have been a survivor of 5 spinal surgeries, prostate cancer that eventually got out of the gland and I am still fighting, but I am still involved in the Music Industry and I still play. After having a neck fusion of C-2 to T-2 w/double rods, I lost most all of my dexterity in my hands and after 2 years of exercising and working with my hands to regain the ability to play. About a year ago I met a man that could do things on the B3 that I had only once or twice in my life. He had just moved to our area for his wife's job and he was just wanting to play. Well as they say, thus the story began. Dave noticed that it is extremely hard for a 7 piece band to make it because there just isn't enough to go around. So thus began "The David Weegs Trio" and right off the bat we got connected with an old Soul Blues man that has been around the block named "Johnny Rawls", and as it was we started working with Johnny and I started Booking dates and setting up a tour for late winter-early spring starting in Austin Texas then heading N-east through LA and up the coast.
