The Curbfeelers, a Blues and Soul Band based in Arlington, Virginia have been playing Chicago Blues and Great Soul Music in the area clubs for the past several years. The band was formed in 1997 with some talented local musicians. Laying down the "Groove" is the strong Rhythm Section of Sally Swan (Bass & Vocals) and Jeff Miles, (Drums). Working that "groove" and filling out the band is none other than: Vince Amodeo (Alto Sax), Mike Larsen, (Trumpet & Flugle Horn), Peter Runk (Keyboards & Vocals), Charles Dharapak (Tenor, Alto Sax), David Harris (Blues Harp & Vocals) and Pete Connell (Guitar & Vocals)
With over 30 years of playing blues and soul music, Pete is an intricate part of the rhythm section. He's a former member of the "3rd Street Hipsters", "Herbie and the Wild Elephants" and "Dave and the Ditch Diggers".
Charlie Dharapak, Baritone, Alto Sax
Originally from New York City, Charlie has been playing sax for over 25 years where throughout high school and college he gigged with anyone who'd take him; R & B, funk, pop, jazz bands. Mostly an alto and soprano guy, he now enjoys honkin' his tenor and bari with the Curbfeelers horns.
David Harris, Harpist, Percussionist, "Sometimes Crooner"
Dave has played harp for over 30 years. His inspiration is Debby. He loves the Blues and R&B.
Jeff Miles, Drums
Jeff has been playing the drums for over 40 years. He's a former member of Sons of Grease (Santa Barbara,CA), The Bernie Milton Band (Ithaca, NY), and The Soul Purpose (Westport, CT).
Peter Runk, Keyboards, Vocals
Peter has been playing the piano for 25 years and also plays rhythm guitar.
Sally Swan, Bass, Vocals
Sally played double bass in orchestra and sang in choir in both high school and college. She majored in music before earning her engineering degree. She started playing the electric bass and singin' the blues in 1997 when she joined the Curbfeelers.
Chris Hannon, Guitar, Vocals, Drums
With over 20 years of experience of playing blues, rock, and jazz music, Chris laid the foundation of the rhythm section. Chris toured southern Indiana on the animal club circuit for five years, before relocating to Northern Virginia. He's a former member of the "The Same", "Double E and the Puky Blues Band" and "Mainstreet". Chris left us on October 9, 2004 to play in that Great
